[implemented] Allow subtitles to be stored in a sub-folder

When i organise my media i use folders with all custom meta data and subtitles, i would be very happy if i could have a folder within my movie folder for subtitles
IE:
Now - D:\Movies\Forrest Gump (1994)\Forrest Gump (1994).en.srt
Sub-Folder - D:\Movies\Forrest Gump (1994)\Subtitles\Forrest Gump (1994).en.srt

I just like to keep my folders organised

I cannot believe this isn’t supported, I would like it to be as:
/moviesLibrary
/Batman Begins (2005)
Batman Begins (2005).mp4
poster.jpg
/subs
Batman Begins (2005).eng.srt

But making that subfolder title configurable to any text would be ideal.

hmm. not much traction with this request. I wonder what people are doing? Copying them to the same folder as the movie file?

I’d love this feature too. Would make things a lot easier.

Only 15 upvotes?? I’d really appreciate this feature as it gets quite messy with VOBSUBs, 4 subtitles per movie, and collections with 3-6 movies per folder…

+1 This is the one feature I’m disappointed Plex doesn’t have.

This suggestion can’t die. It’s a low hanging fruit that saves a lot of manual work. Now I need to extract the subs out of the folder. It just doesn’t make sense

+1 Please consider this for impl! Thnx

this has been a feature request since 2010. Are they never going to change the way plex recognizes subtitles since they have the ā€œauto subtitle findā€ feature now? Kinda lame.

I just want to put the subtitles for my TV episodes in a subfolder in each season.

Show.S01/subs/show.s01e01.title.srt

Why is this basic feature not a thing? VLC recognizes them this way. This is ridiculous plex. Get your head outta your bum.

This is now included in PMS 1.41.0 (currently available as beta)
