As most people, I feel like this feature should have already been implemented.

From a marketing standpoint, adding this feature would put Plex well ahead of Emby.

We really need this feature. Unacceptable that other users can’t schedule recordings… Should be a fairly simple permissions issue…

I am a new Lifetime Plex Pass member for the live TV. This appears to be a known issue for more than a year with no answer. Very concerning/disappointing. Is there a list to be on to be notified by Plex when and if this is corrected?

Some type of acknowledgment that these posts are being read and work is being done to resolve the issue would be nice.

I agree. I separate content and use a home user account for the main account used in the home. I don’t want the admin account to be exposed for a few reasons but most importantly so the setup wont get accidentally changed.

Please add the ability for home or managed users to record.

I was about to sign up for a plex pass specifically for the Live TV feature, but I was wondering about this. When I found out it wasn’t possible, I couldn’t get myself to pull the trigger. Plex Admins, please add this! My wallet is ready!

I can’t find the new option. Where is it hidden? Or must the home user also have Plex Pass?

I was briefly looking at this last night too. I was thinking that they home users might require some type of access to the DVR “storage area”? When I setup my DVR function, I had to also create a TV programs folder to store the files. Hopefully there will be directions, or that they planned on it and didn’t make this build but maybe next build???

I need this feature. And they released this version and I can not find the option. Hope someone can find it.

Yes, I did (after searching the forums). Have to use http://app.plex.tv to access the menu. Any other way of accessing PMS will not work.

Also you have to share out a folder to store “TV Movies” and “TV Shows” for other users to store their DVR files or the other home users won’t have anywhere to store their files while recording.
