I can’t reproduce that here. The more ways to watch hub isn’t present on my managed user account watchlists.
I can’t either, not within a managed users account.
The watchlist is still there which links to outside services.
Hmmm, not on my Grandkids account and I’m in it atm.
Yes. Discover is not there but watchlist is under Home.
- Use a managed account
- Add Peter Pan (1953) if you have it, in the Watchlist
- Go to the watchlist
- Go to Peter Pan
Plex will propose you to watch it from your server OR “Watch from these locations”
Then you can click on Apple TV and go to them portal and watch any trailer they can propose, from kids movies to content with violence!
Nope - did all that. Not showing.
Not in managed account for me.
There is no more ways to watch hub under managed user account watchlists here.
I can reproduce it on the Web app, the Windows app and on my Android mobile app.
I have Managed Users in my account, and a friend shares his Plex server with me.
I CANNOT see any way of letting my Managed Users access to my friend’s Plex server, or even requesting access for them.
Managed user is within your home - it is fully explained in the link I posted.

I’m out of here.
Good luck everyone. I’m comfortable with the changes made (given we won’t be going back to what we had).
Your recent posts weren’t clear to me what the problem was. And honestly it’s not completely clear to me where this is all going to end up.
I absolutely 100% have “Watchlist” inside the “Home” section with a Managed User account. Not a friend invited account.
Managed user is within your home - it is fully explained in the link I posted.
mspacek, claimed Managed Users can access a Shared Plex server. They cannot from what I can tell.
This is a huge deficent in Plex and does not allow Managed Users to be a sufficent tool for protecting minors.
Please prove me wrong!
I can reproduce it on the Web app, the Windows app and on my Android mobile app.
I only tested it on the FireTV Android app 9.0.6.31998 and it works correctly, no “more ways to watch” showing up here.
It’s not correct.
That’s second hand untested information. I hope it’s correct.l but don’t know if is.
Great, so you bad mouth me and then post unconfirmed information hoping to contradict other items that I said. Now, it appears your information is wrong.
Nice.
You’re mischaracterizing what I said.
As it seems my information was wrong, I removed my post to avoid confusion.
Good luck. I’m out…
Would y’all quit bitching at eachother… So goddam petty! ![]()

why there are all those threads asking about to disable it when we could just leave plex
That’s very different. When it was integrated into the search you COULDN’T disable it. So people were requesting to be able to. & now you can. The Watchlist isn’t changing something that people use already, it was JUST added. Like the Movies & TV shows & Podcasts. If, like me, you don’t use them you just unpin them. Nobody is forcing you to use them. Same with the Watchlist (Now). If you disable the Streaming Services in your search, & you hide the Discover, & ignore the Watchlist tab. It’s just like your server was before. there’s just more things shoved in the trunk you aren’t using
since we can’t nuke it from our plex pass servers.
But you can… That’s the whole point… No you can’t completely remove the feature but you also can’t remove the traction control system from your car, but if you don’t want to use it, you can turn it off.
