[Implemented] Gapless Playback

It would be awesome if this is implemented. +1 for me

Liked first post. Still want/need gapless playback across all the Plex apps

+1 Here… Please make this happen soon…

+1 for me to have gapless playback

+1 pleeaaaaase!

+1… back to the top.

This feature was originally requested way way back in 2012… Plex: Please implement this.

Winamp had this in the 90’s, just sayin’

PlexAmp has it too … which is basically winamp in disguise.

Plexamp doesn’t work for me. It crashes after 1-2 tracks.

Is gapless playback not actually there? I’m confused by this thread.

On iOS at least, I specifically started using Plex as my music player of choice specifically because it does have gapless playback. I was plesantly surprised when I realized that I could use Plex Cloud to play my entire music collection gapplessly.

It’s not in Android app, or the plex browser player (chrome).

I’ve just tried in Emby web player with Pink Floyd and it appear to be gapless. How embarrassing for Plex!

what an embarrassing situation:
having to decide between Android Auto and Carplay the prospects are these:
Plex for AA: very good but NO gapless
Plex for Carplay: not available but Plex for ios IS gapless

sure is a candid camera

Or run emby along side plex (that’s what I’m doing at the moment), or cancel plex pass and run emby instead (that’s what I’m heading towards.)

I just check but there is no gapless on Plex Media Player 2.13.0.877 on Windows 10 it’s a shame …

Try Emby, it works ok but it’s really fussy about Flac file tags etc. and doesn’t look anywhere near as polished as plex.

I use it for music but prefer plex overall. Really wish plex would let us know when / if they’ll ever implement this in their players.

Or you could try a 3rd party plex player, like Rasplex, PHT, etc…

You could try plexamp, but for me it just crashes after a few minutes (win10).

If you’ve requested this feature, and haven’t already voted, please do so by clicking the [Vote] button at the top of this thread.

so even 6 years after request it still has no gapless playback? I think I am not voting, but rather getting another solution.

For those wanting gapless audio playback NOW you can look at Yatse - it supports Plex streaming/sync, has a ton of features including gapless (for a long time). An interim solution at least until Plex gets their gapless act together.

This is so long overdue it’s not even funny anymore!

I have also tested Yatse with Android Auto and it’s really good.
Really a pleasant surprise :astonished::astonished:
