Try downloading the latest version of PHT from the site, the auto update doesn't always work.
I can confirm gapless playback is working in PHT now (at least mostly, some transitions have a tiny hiccup but its hardly noticeable).

Still not working for me unfortunately. The gap on PHT is tiny, less than half a second, but enough to ruin a drum and bass mix set or a album. Is there a PMS or PHT setting that I've missed? For now, I'm using itunes on my Mac Mini HTPC with 'Remote for iTunes' on Android for home use, then syncing albums using Bubble Upnp. BubbleUPnP seems to work better (faster) using mirimserver which is free and can be used on Linux, Windows and Mac.

Gapless playback for Plex would make all of this obsolete.

So we get an absolutely massive music upgrade, features galore but effectively no gapless clients to go with it. Ā I'm guessing part of the problem may be the voting system on the forum where 1 Like = 1 Vote; for me and I'm betting most people commenting here, gapless playback is at least 10 times more important than other features I can (and do) vote for, but I have no way to express this. Ā

I love the latest music update, but I'd trade it all in an instant for gapless playback.

I've seen Elan mention a few times that it is. There scattered across the forum so I can't exactly dig them up for proof but I've seen him mention there working on it! Personally I think it would be a lot of work to add to every client, they also seam to be taking our responses on board for more feature parity, so my guess is all would get the update. What ever the case I'm sure it will come in due time.

I canā€™t believe that PLEX does not have gapless playback.
Why?

Some of us do like to listen to a whole album.
And gapless playback is essential for some albums.

If you want to compete with WMP and iTunes then include gapless playback.
Therefore Iā€™m sticking with iTunes for listening to music on my PC until Plex sorts this out.

+1000 for gapless playback on Android, the lack of it is bad for my dental health. I grit my teeth every time the music cuts out between songs.

Gapless playback isnā€™t trivialā€¦ could be extensive rewrite of many things. With that saidā€¦ I used to have a Cowon A2 (which has great sound)ā€¦ but because it couldnā€™t do gapless (and itā€™s gaps were a lot smaller than Plex)ā€¦ people gave it a lot of hate.
