Still waiting for it. Even on the new Plex Media Player, this is not implemented yet. Is there a roadmap for this feature?

Thanks for that (helps me keep updated); I removed music from plex long ago when I discovered that you cannot search for various artist within albums and that search by composer is not possible.
@Afullmark : lack of searching artists in compilations is a bummer indeed.

4.x doesnāt have gapless playback. Not sure what made you think it did?

Iāve noticed gapless playback on many of my albums in all iOS 4.x versions. Release notes for version 4.0 say āWeāre also well on our way to gapless playback support (itās close, but not quite perfect yet).ā While the devs seem to suggest that there may be some problems with gapless playback, I havenāt experienced any in my FLAC/MP3 library.
This doesnāt seem to be implemented yet in Plex/Web. Iām playing a Linked Horizon rock opera, and there are abrupt pauses between tracks even though the music is clearly meant to play straight through.

DSOTM transition from track 1 to 2 will show you the problem. MP3s synced locally.
iOS 4.0.10 stil doesnāt resolve it.

Tested this transition on my own setup and Iām hearing a very very slight click (but no pause) between the tracks when I listen closely. So Iād say āclose, but not quite perfect yetā accurately describes the state of gapless in the iOS app. Apologies for any confusion I may have caused.
With all of the great improvements Plex has made for the way it displays, coordinates and adds interesting information (premium libraries) about my music, I canāt help but wonder if the old issue of āgapless playbackā is something we could expect in an upcoming release.
I personally have no issues with, or complaints about, my favorite group of software developers but this feature is something I would love to see. I like the new ālyricsā option and everything else that has been added in the last couple of years but gapless playback is something that keeps circling around my head.
Same here. Still using Rasplex (with gapless playback!!!) but would love to have it on other players tooā¦
Hoping for gapless playback soon! Doesnāt look like itās by any means a āfastā process. Youād think it would be faster with the number of people requesting it.
