Critics rating not working with IMDb as ratings sources

In the new Plex Media Server Version 1.20.0.3133 there is an option to sort by audience rating and an option to sort by critic rating. When using Rotten Tomatoes as ratings source both of these features seem to work.

However, I prefer using IMDb or TMDb as ratings source. While I can still sort by audience rating, the sort by critic rating doesn’t work. I guess it makes sense, since IMDb and TMDb only have an audience rating. But why is there still an option to sort by critic rating? It seems useless to have a sort option that doesn’t sort anything when you click it.

As both IMDb and TMDB ratings aren’t critic ratings these values live in the audience rating field now which is why the sort option was added.

Rotten Tomatoes has both Critic and Audience ratings.
IMDb and TMDB only have Audience ratings.

There is still some work to do on the UI side of things but I hope this answers your question.
