Would love to see some updates to the Audio Transcoding Engine. I have a rather large FLAC audio collection and it would be incredible to be able to access all of my music on the go from my iPhone, without encoding the entire library to mp3. If we paired this option, with the ability to store transcoded content on a mobile device, it would be an iTunes killer. It would allow for true wireless syncing, without iTunes
The audio transcoding engine already supports FLAC. The issue is that the iOS app doesn’t use the transcoder at all… yet
It’s something we intend to add soon.
Ah, wonderful! Thank you so much for the response and enlightening me! Sorry about misnamed thread. I will rename.
Doesn’t look like I can rename the thread. Perhaps a moderator can rename or decommission the thread to avoid confusing.
I can’t get flac to play on my samsung glaxy s 3. Did I miss a thread on this ?
I've renamed it to include iOS. if you feel this feature request should also be available on other mobile platforms let me know ;)
Really appreciate you re-naming the thread. It sounds like this feature is already on the dev roadmap, which is great to hear!
Implemented. Can someone mark this as such?
