I have the following problem: I would like to add the series Alarm für Cobra 11, but unfortunately the order on thetvdb is completely mixed up according to the broadcast date, which means that seasons cannot be fetched automatically. How can I organize the series/episodes manually? I have the data in the folder and Plex recognizes it, but it is organized incorrectly because it is organized differently on DVD than on RTL+ or Thetvdb
There’s no means to add episodes „manually“.
Have you checked the other episode offerings from TheTVDb (aired, DVD, absolute) or TMDb‘s aired order?
You can set the applicable order in the show‘s advanced tab.
I couldn’t find the DVD order on thetvdb. I fetch the data with FileBot or directly via Plex, and I couldn’t find the option to select the DVD order there either.
I found the error. I looked in the wrong place. In FileBot, you can select DVD mode. I just overlooked that. I’m not sure if Plex will recognize it.

I have tried it normally plex recognizes what Filebot calls.
the problem is that also the DVD order on The TVDB is wrong so there is completely different sorted than on DVD i have almost all DVD here.
How can I get Plex to accept my order if I name all files correctly manually?
with almost all portals the order is faulty unfortunately i got it somewhere but no idea how unfortunately i did not copy it during the server move because of an error.
Edit the show (pencil icon) → Advanced → Episode Ordering I’ve read that too, I can select DVD order there but unfortunately it loads the wrong data and sometimes not because the order on The TVDB does not match the original DVD’s
Plex uses TMDB & TVDB for episode ordering.
Options:

Organize your files per the listings on TMDB or TVDB.

If the listing on TMDB/TVDB is incorrect, contact them to correct it.

Add an alternate listing to TVDB. If they accept the listing, Plex should pick it up in a few days.

Use the MP4 container, embed your own metadata, and tell Plex to prefer embedded metadata: Edit Library → Advanced → Prefer Local Metadata.
Option 1 & 2 are the easiest.
Ask TVDB before pursuing option 3, as if they reject your listing they will delete it.
Option 4 is the most work. If you pursue this, try it with one or two episodes first, to make sure it works. Also, it is a per-library option and affects all shows in the library using the MP4 container. If a show has incorrect metadata then Plex may (probably will) list it incorrectly.
