It would be nice to have a feature to boost the audio on the phones movie sound so low my Dad couldn’t hear it on a trip would be great to have a default audio boost in settings just to do it to all movies or TV shows or music
Is it possible you can get a good result from
Settings > Player > Show Advanced > Multi Channel Audio Boost
I probably don’t have your equipment to test it, but I’m curious.
May I ask what sort of cans your dad is using?

This will only have an effect on audio tracks which are multi-channel (“surround sound”).
It won’t change a bit on stereo audio tracks.
Was the least I could do for pops 
I’m guessing music is okay without boost, maybe by just increasing the volume?
That being said, I asked about your Dad’s cans not because I’m nosy but because they could be seriously amazing. He could be a musician with Grados or something semi-pro that have a low input impedance, massive drivers, and can really benefit from a portable headphone amp.
But if not, problem solved?
