Most of the videos have adequate volume but some have low volume and when I go to settings, advanced, audio, audio boost and set it to huge. There is no change.
I tried this on my android devices, not working, tried on my iPhone, not working, tried on my Xbox One X, not working.
If anyone has a solution I will greatly appreciate it. Because the only half baked solution i found is to stop using Plex and play the video on VLC. By the way, VLCâs volume at 100 is noticeably louder than Plex volume at 100. This is very disappointing!
I know this was a while ago but did you get a response on this from elsewhere? I have the same issue and have to put 200% volume in TV shows for it to be heardâŠwhen going back to menus it blows my head off!!
Ok, but what about the fact that if I play the video with VLC or MxPlayer, the volume at 100% is way louder than that in the plex clients. I think this is a bug with the plex client apps.
Yes, its very annoying. Another thing Iâve noticed, the Samsung Smart TV Plex client has correct volume. You should try it if you have a Samsung TV. Cheers.
the low volume on the Xbox is nothing to do with the file being played. Plex on my TV has great audio. the same file on the Xbox is very quiet. Itâs not all files and i havenât yet worked out why it is happening
Would be nice to know the dB gain they are adding for each boost option. When I down-sample multichannel audio to stereo with Handbrake I use +4dB gain. I suspect the Plex web player boost is too timid.
Bump, bump, bump. Nearly all of my videos play at ânormalâ reasonable levels through my PC web player but when I put them through my late model Samsung smart TV I can barely hear it. The boost audio option no longer exists. Help!
I was having this issue, but when I set the audio passthrough to HDMI (using Optical forced it to transcode every time) it increased the volume and it doesnât need to transcode. Try that, and see if it helps.
Sorry but why am I reading excuses for a feature that doesnât work? Is there anywhere to make a complaint about it?
As seen in many user comments, there are various situations where it would be wonderful to have an audio boost setting that actually boosts the audio level, no matter the audio source or format.
There is an audio boost item on the apps settings, it mostly doesnât work or is labeled way too wrong. Please fix this, a lot of people would have a better experience, and I would be grateful too.
