Hi there,
I really enjoy listening to my music using plex on the iPhone during driving. Unfortunately, I get older, and its difficult to read the very tiny and small symbols and letters on the 5" screen.
Would you as the programmers be so kind and consider providing an optional GUI which might be “reduced to the max”, using big letters and big symbol keys for the use on the road while driving with sub-optimal lighting conditions?
I.e., it might be useful to fade all options like pictures, movies, etc… and just reduce to MUSIC an PLAYLISTS.
in MUSIC, there should be a very big-sized display of INTERPRET / ALBUM / …, which could be safely hit while driving.
I’ve recently started using Plex for music and I’d like this feature too. I’d also like to add gestures into the mix… Swipe left for next track, right for previous track, swipe and hold left to fast forward, right to rewind, two finger swipe left to cycle through shuffle modes and right to cycle through repeat modes, swipe up for next artist etc. This way you don’t have to look at the screen to control it. I used an app called CarTunes which did this extremely well, but uses music on the phone uploaded through iTunes.
I don’t think Plex should be putting any effort into something that enables doing something unsafe and, in many places, illegal (fiddling with your phone while driving).

People use phones on mounts in their cars all the time, which isn’t illegal.
