Inconsistent audio during LiveTV or Recording on only one channel in my lineup

I am facing challenges with audio from my HDHomerun tuners. Recorded content often does not contain audio. Sometimes when I start playing LiveTV watching thru browser, the audio will not play. Other times it will. I’ve checked that the same tuner is being used, and the problem can be within the same broadcast (i.e. start the playback, no audio… stop playback, wait, restart playback, audio works). The same tuner is being used so there’s no apparent hardware issue. The same program is played, so no issue with audio broadcast format.

This seems confined ONLY to my local ABC affiliate on 30.1. All other recorded channels (2.1, 4.1, 5.1, etc) in the St. Louis market seem to record audio just fine, with NO problems on live playback or recorded content.

Playback thru the HDHomeRun app never has audio problems.

How can this issue be debugged? I’m at a loss, but it’s frustrating that my ABC station can’t be recorded, but every other station can. Happy to provide whatever logs, etc. would be helpful to debug.

So, is this somehow unique only to me? Surely someone else has experienced similar?

Is this thing even on? How does one get support from Plex on issues such as this? It’s getting ignored, and my frustration level with Plex as a DVR is nearly to the point of dropping it.

I have done additional troubleshooting, but need assistance in finding what logs, etc. are truly useful to find the issue.

I’ve found that the issue is intermittent. Just a few moments ago, I tried to tune to a station that often has no audio during recordings. The audio played fine. I stopped the live TV session, waited a minute, and restarted it, and no audio. It was using the same tuner, and was during the same show. Why would it be able to obtain the audio stream one minute, but not the next?

There’s clearly something odd happening, but no one seems to see threads where troubleshooting help is needed. @ljunkie any chance you can point a dev or support path that can assist in trying to fix an issue that’s been ongoing for months?
