I have over 3000 video files in a library which contain only 4k, 1080p and 720p files. Yet when I check the resolution, the system lists other formats, which when checked, there are no files attached. I think there is a problem in the database
Can you be a bit more specific? Possibly provide screenshots? It’s hard to ascertain what it is you’re talking about from what you’ve posted.
The full procedure
I am in the library of “Other Videos” containing 3635 Videos
Under the pull down menu “All”, I choose “Resolution”
On the list there are “4K, 1080p, 720p, 576p, SD” displayed
When I choose, for example “576p” the screen appears which states “The active filter has no matches”
No other filters are active at the time
This does not happen in “Movies”
Have you tried to “Analyze” the media in that Library? Also, empty trash, clean bundles, and optimize database?
It could just be leftover information from previous files that may have been in there previously…
I have just done all of these a couple of times.
I have also rebooted the server
Nothing has changed
Then I am not sure, it could be a messed up database, but I don’t think I’m qualified to actually say it is. You may want to wait for a Ninja (Moderator) or a Plex Employee to chime in with their assessment.
I have now removed, cleaned up up using clean bundles, optimize database, all 3 libraries. Then re created the libraries and still the resolutions with no videos attached are listed
