Indirect connections after ISP turned IPv6 on

Hello.
I use a router that I got from my ISP. Yesterday, the routers firmware got updated, and I got a nice pool of IPv6 addresses. I still get one IPv4 address for my network.
However, I lost the ability to manually specify any IPv4 port forwarding. There’s an option for UPnP, and it’s enabled. Unfortunately, Plex doesn’t seem to be able to configure a port forwarding for itself :frowning: The result is that I can only connect indirectly from outside of my home network.
In the remote access section in server settings, plex lists my IPv4 address as the public one.
I have enabled IPv6 support, but it didn’t help.
Are there any additional steps I should do in order to make plex run on IPv6? Is it even possible?

Plex does not currently support remote access over IPv6 but it should work over IPv4. I’m not sure what is going on with your IPv4 connection though. You should be able to specify port forwards in your router (or request your ISP give you access to the router or have them do it for you since it is theirs).

If you want IPv6 remote access you can vote for it by clicking on the Vote button at the top of the page here: Ipv6 support for myplex

There are no IPv6-facing services at this time.

IPv6 support exists in PMS solely to support an IPv6 LAN.

This is changing as IPv6 becomes more widely adopted.

yep, same here. got switched from ipv4 to ipv6 by my provider and now can only access the server indirectly, this is pretty frustrating :confused:

Keep your LAN IPv4;
Let your ISP make the V4->V6->V4 translation for you.

Most, if not all, of France (AFAIK) is v6 only and they have no issues.
