I’m running PMS on a Synology DS218+. Hardware transcoding works with it, 4 streams max, typicallym though. Commercial removal can’t be used with it, though, crushes the CPU.
Had a weird issue where suddenly live tv was buffering every 1-2 seconds. Other transcoded media played without problems. No changes to server config. 1 device playing. No background tasks. Restarted PMS, restarted Synology. Killed plex app on AppleTV, restarted, nothing helped. Re-installed, nothing.
Finally, rebooted the AppleTV, live tv no longer buffering.
