Hi,
I have a problem with transcoding & buffering that I’m hoping someone can help me with.
I’ve converted various blurays to .mkv and they all run really well on my home network. However, there are a couple of French films that buffer every 15-20 seconds and I don’t know how to resolve it.
My setup is simple.
Plex (v.1.15.4.994) is installed on a Synology DS918+ running DSM 6.2.2-24922. A wired 1GbE connection goes from the NAS via a Netgear GS108Tv2 Managed Switch to the TV (Samsung QE65Q7FAM) with Plex v.3.92.3
Both the 1080p (VC1) and Audio channels are being transcoded on the film in question and I don’t know why this is the case and/or whether it’s necessary, bearing in mind other blu-ray media runs perfectly with no buffering. Also, as you’d expect, when using the disc in my bluray player it runs with no issues.
Would really appreciate any advice as to how I can fix the buffering problem!
