I’m looking to replace my ReplayTV that gave up the ghost, and one of the features that I use most is “infinite pause”; essentially pausing live tv for as long as there is available disk space on the recording system (which will now likely a very large NAS). I want to find a DVR solution that will allow for that (use the available disk space AND free the space when live TV is resumed).
I don’t think so based on the fact that if you attempt to watch a “recording in progress” show it only buffers 90 minutes (for some reason). But i hope im wrong.

Does anyone know if Plex DVR allows for that?
Thanks
Well sort off, you set to delete. `
You can Record and resume and manually Delete or from advanced setting in scheduled recording set a timed delete.
Did you ever find out if you can pause for extended period of time? I have a Nvdia Shield and try to pause for longer then 3 mins and it plays for about a minute then it goes back to menu and I lose everything. I also come from Replay TV & TiVo back in the day and miss this.
