Inputmaps not working

Server Version#: 1.14.0.5470
Player Version#: 3.71.1
Hi, I have an issue that you can find here and there on google. I inserted the keyboard-inputmap from the examples folder to the inputmaps folder but it doesn’t work. The PMP log shows the following:

2018-11-29 14:18:32 [ INFO ] InputMapping.cpp @ 113 - Loading inputmaps from: ":/inputmaps"
2018-11-29 14:18:32 [ WARN ] InputMapping.cpp @ 92 - Missing element 'idmatcher' from mapping file: ":/inputmaps/dualshock4-xbox-emulate.json"
2018-11-29 14:18:32 [ INFO ] InputMapping.cpp @ 113 - Loading inputmaps from: "C:/Users/Paradox/AppData/Local/PlexMediaPlayer/inputmaps"
2018-11-29 14:18:32 [ INFO ] InputComponent.cpp @ 54 - Successfully inited input: Keyboard `Preformatted text`

I cannot find the faulty dualshock4 file and don’t know if this is the problem. Or maybe my keyboard isn’t recognized by the generic keyboard setting? Thank you for your help.

Edit: I just learned that the shortcuts are supposed to work in fullscreen mode. But with my PMP they work neither in normal nor in fullscreen mode

Please zip your json file and attach it here.

Here you are. It’s the file I copied from the examples directory

keyboard.zip (1.2 KB)

What is actually your issue?
It looks like this is just the default keyboard.json file.
What are you expecting to change, after inserting the keyboard.json file?
Because if you just copy it, unchanged, all the default key bindings will remain as they are.

I wish this was the case but the only shortcuts I can use in any player mode are these:
2018-11-30%2016_14_15-Plex%20Media%20Player

Your screenshot shows the keyboard shortcuts for the ‘desktop’ mode of PMP.
These cannot be modified.

The keyboard.json file is only used when you switch PMP into ‘TV’ mode.

ok, I read somewhere that it only works for fullscreen mode (F11). This is the first time i hear its only for TV mode. BTW why is there no possibility to remap desktop mode? If I want to use smart volume normalization now with

"Ctrl\\+D": "host:player af toggle lavfi=[dynaudnorm=f=100]",

I can only do so while in TV mode?

A few versions ago, the fullscreen mode was synonymous with the TV mode. PMP would automatically switch to TV if you put it into fullscreen.
Now fullscreen/windowed and TV/desktop are independent of each other.

Unfortunately, yes.

I see, that’s unfortunate. But thank you very much for your help!
