It seems the newest update has more or less broken Plex on this model of TV? I have the exact same Fire TV version on my Firestick 4K in the bedroom but files will not play on this Insignia TV in the other room. Both settings are exactly the same and the error I get is (An error occured while attempting to play this video, please try restarting both the PMS and this app). Fortunately I have Kodi on my server so I can just run it via that Plex application, but it’s very frustrating that the newest version just doesn’t seem to work with this TV. Can anyone corroborate this? Know of any fixes?
Also, one thing I’d like to bring up is that this was working fine over the weekend and this is the first time I’ve tried it since the Server update (which was today, version 1.19.4.2902). Is also working on my phone (Android, Plex web app, and Plex Windows program).

Please provide the log from the Plex app on your TV.

I see the error. Not sure what’s causing it. I’ll have to investigate and get back to you.

So, oddest thing…I restarted the TV (unplugging and plugging it back in) and it seems everything is working as intended now.

I too have an Insignia Fire TV and the Plex app seems to be buggy as hell. It will randomly crash sometimes. But the most aggravating its doing right now is playing tv shows via a playlist will randomly pause and I have to manually forward to the next episode and if I don’t respond quick enough the tv will go to sleep. Also noticed that if you just pause a show and then jump to another app or input and then come back to Plex, it doesn’t always want to work. That’s when I have to restart the tv. You don’t always have to unplug it to restart. You can go into settings to do it as well. Seems to work better if you back out to the home screen using the back button versus home button. It’s pretty annoying.
