Install failure for 2.4.1.787

I am trying to install the latest update and it fails both when I try and let the player update itself (immediate or next restart) and also with a manual download from your website and install.

The install fails silently when done by the APP and I get the second message above when doing it via the downloaded version. The log does not show the failure cause (that I can understand).

Any ideas? The client now prompts me to upgrade every time I launch it …

Did you turn off Windows update? That error usually means Windows is trying to download some required update but can’t.

There was an update pending and a simple reboot solved the problem.
