I installed the readnas media server on my readynas 102 NAS. When I launch the app it launches http://[nas server name]:32400/web/index.html# but it does not send me to any kind of config page. Instead it just tries to find my media server running on windows. It doesn’t make sense. It prompts me to download the app and install it. But that is what I did and it is running the page from the NAS. So confused…
Any resolution to this issue? I installed Plex on my ReadyNAS 626 and get the above screen where it is “Looking for servers” when going to http://:32400/web/index.html#
So I am not able to log the server into my Plex account. All browsers/clients I have tried are on the same subnet as the NAS running Plex server.
You have not said what device you have installed your Plex app on? I ask this because I too have PMS running on my ReadyNAS Duo V2, the predecessor to the RN102, and the latest Plex app running on my Roku 3, and they work very well together.
I can’t say what’s causing your problem unless you provide more information, i.e. such as
What device is your Plex app running on?
Is your “device” running on the same (home) network as your RN102?
Is your “device” connected to your network via Wi-Fi or cable?
Can you access the Options/Settings screen on your Plex app?
Those are the only questions I can think of at the moment.
I have the same problem, any solution?
I have a Readynas 214 and just installed the arm rn2xx Plex server on it and when i click LAUNCH i get nothing in my browser.
I have the same problem, I have RN102 and once I install Plex package it says successfully installed but I can’t get the web page. when I click launch it goes to the same subnet 192.x.x.x:32400/web address. I am not sure that do we need to do anything on our router or NAS to allow access this port? is there any one who success with ReadyNas Plex server???
I have the same problem with a RN104 where, using the correct version of the Plex download, Plex cannot find the NAS based server. I have now factory reset the NAS and reinstalled the current version of Plex. Same problem - Plex will not find the NAS based server. I sees a Windows based server and the setup for a cloud based server.
The problem initially began at about the same time as a RN104 update but, after testing, Netgear claims the problem was not duplicated in their lab, it worked for them and my problem wasn’t related to their update. So now, even after factory resetting the NAS, and using the most current NAS software and the current and correct Plex download, the Plex app on the NAS can find only a Windows based server and the setup for a cloud based server - not the local NAS server.
from what i can see in the dives screen i get e few options but not the screen where ive seen other people add their roku or shield . when you get more options i think you can get the server /NAS options . no idea how to get this tho . a by the way im noob
Thanks! In the meanwhile I found via Google that I should try to use the webinterface with IP adress instead of hostname. This works fine supprisingly. Also now I can use the hostname and the server is there.
