Just installed this card in an HP 6005 newly installed Win 7 system. WinTV 8.5 sees all four tuners on the system the card is installed in, can even see all 4 channels at the same time. Every installation of Plex Server only sees 2 of the 4 tuners. Real pain. Also, every version of Plex on my Samsung TVs do not show the guide so you can’t watch local channels on any TV, the intended targets of the installation in the first place. This whole process is becoming a major waste of time and money. Any ideas?
Well, based on someone else’s suggestion in another post, I added a new DVR and sure enough two more tuners showed up. So you just have to keep adding DVRs until all your tuners are all in the list. Simple as that!
Glad you figured it out. There is a note in the Supported DVR Tuners and Antennas about the Quad-HD and adding the device twice.
- WinTV-quadHD: This device will show up as two dual-tuner devices. You can simply add it as two devices to a single Plex DVR to make use of all four tuners.
Now I just have to figure out how to get the Guide to show up as
one of the available programs in the plex app on the TVs (as it
does in the plex player everywhere else) and it will all be
working.
Plex app on Samsung TV to my knowledge has not be changed to include Live TV. I use Shield TV devices and Amazon Fire TV 4K and Fire TV Stick on my TV’s.
I just installed this into my plex server that is running Win 10. I am only seeing 1 tuner how can i fix this. I do have the Wintv program installed.
