I love things like postrr and Plex Movie Poster Display but rather than having to set up a 3rd party tool to host a webserver that displays the currently showing movie / tv poster it would be really good if this could be done directly in Plex so going to something like localhost:32400/web/now-playing would display the movie poster so it could be displayed on another screen outside our home theaters etc
So… for anybody not familiar with the tools you’re referencing… you want an option to display the poster of “what’s playing” on a separate screen.
Out of curiosity… how will/should this work if there’s multiple active streams on your server?
Or is it supposed to be a feature linked to the client side of Plex?
I currently use Posterr, on that if multiple streams are active it displays a slideshow.
At the top of the screen it always say Now Screening with a progress bar underneath then the poster followed by meta data about the video, when multiple streams are active this info is displayed for 10 seconds or so then there’s a transition to the next stream.
