Intel Core i7-1165G7 with Intel Iris Xe Graphics and a Nvidia GeForce RTX2060 failing hardware encoding

Continuing the discussion from PMS has stopped doing hardware transcoding on Intel UHD 630:

Server Version#: 1.25.8.5621
Player Version#: Plex for iOS v8

I wanted to start a new post to see if anyone has seen anything similar. When plugging a monitor into my thunderbolt port and having that as my primary display hardware transcoding started to fail with an error of

Following the steps in How to use integrated graphics for Plex transcoding – erik.ellsinger.me it now works again. However Windows still says Plex Transcoder is using GPU 1 (RTX) but windows shows both GPU’s in use. Is that common? Can I tell which GPU is actually used?

I can’t help with system setup.

However, for which GPU is in use, look in Plex Media Server.log files for lines with TPU::

Decoding with Nvidia.
Encoding with Intel QuickSync.

Oh interesting, that explains why both GPU’s show activity. Thank you.
