I’ve changed my CPU from J4105 to Intel 11500K and I hope there will be significant increase of performenece, especially on HW Transcoding…

However, It seems that transcoding with HW (UHD750) on 11500 is not supported on ubuntu.
is it right?

(and is it ok on windows 10?)

Intel -11xxx (RocketLake) are non-functional with hardware transcoding due to an upstream dependency in the Linux kernel specifically the i915 group.

Do you have any clue if Intel is working on that?

Unfortunately, I do not.

The only places to ask are on the Intel forums and, the forum for the distro you wish to run on the machine. The distro’s forum will likely have the direct communication with the Linux kernel team upstream and be able to answer that.

We are at the end of that food chain, :frowning:

I can tell you that we are ready to run on the processor as soon as kernel support is complete. I completed Linux packaging support (DEB) with the latest release of PMS.
