Internal Server when Attempting to Change Password

Following the advice on the email campaign about the data breach I try to change my Plex password but get Internal Server Error. Are there changes being made that affect the ability to modify the password for the moment?

Update: After the above error my server unlinked from my account. Had to login to my Plex account locally through the server and relink it. Tried to change my password again and all happened the same.

Multiple failed attempts to reset password - same issue.

Now locked out.

First attempt to change password “Internal Error”. Second attempt just hangs with no changes made. Got a reset password email and tried to change it, says token invalid.

“Plex is down for maintenance” now. I guess time to shut down the server and call it a night.

Hey, I got the same error, but it seems the new password was accepted (just used it to log in here to post this reply). But otherwise, very poor performance from Plex (a) security breach and (b) error messages when trying to reset password.

Was also a lot of work getting my home server claimed again, had to ssh tunnel to the server and load the local plex webpage via VNC.

Same but received confirmation email 10 min later, stating password was changed.

same error.
twice.
after about 10 minutes, i was finally able to change.
ever since, server can not be located.
new pass works on all devices,
there is just nothing there.
is there another step about which i am not aware?

so i can log in to my local server. i just can’t see anything but other shared servers and under mine i see discover and watchlists.

disregard. it wasn’t recognizing my domain. local ip worked. thanks.

You did log into the web app that is stored on your server. You still need to re-link your server to your account. This is described in the latter part of the linked article, under the heading " Sign In/Claim Your Plex Media Server".
