I have configured my Internet Upload Speed to be 200 meg, as my ISP service is full gig. Does this setting have any impact upon local playback of content? I am running into some weird playback errors, where things I would expect to be direct played are being transcoded. I am just trying to eliminate items, as I troubleshoot my home network.
The two are not related.
Media XML (codecs and streams in the file plus the geometry and container structure)
as compared against the playback device (and its settings)
will determine if transcoding is required. The player is in charge.
