Only just started really using this feature, works great, although the watch session ends for invited users at the end credits and they get dropped out, is this normal? I’d like to enjoy the end credits with them sometimes.
from what I’ve seen, most client apps will exit or return to the post-play screen when you reach the final credit segment.
Are you talking about “Watch Together” or the new “Skip Credits” feature, or possibly both at the same time?
Watch together: I mean when a movie or show gets to the end of the movie/episode right as the end credits/theme kick in, the other clients drop out. We use the skip intro a lot tho, is it linked to that somehow

If the main user is a Plex Pass user and has credit markers, the default behavior at the end of a video will be to automatically cause the window to shrink (on some players) and show the post-movie review screen. This keeps playing the video in the background and displays options like “Similar Movies” to it. Normally, you must press the “Back” button on the remote in the last 5% or so of a movie to reach this screen. So this behavior is automatically activated when it used to be a manual process.
I haven’t done “Watch Together”, but I’d wager that if one person hits the “Back” button at the end of a movie and reached this screen themselves, it probably ends the “Watch Together” session for all others. So automatically reaching this screen causes the same behavior.
Interesting thought. I’m plex pass user but not using the pass server version. No one touches anything at the end of the movie/TV, I get no other screens, it just plays out the endtro as normal, but invited users get dropped (notification of X user left) before the endtro.
Well that solved it then. Didn’t skip intro this time and it kept them in during the end credits, after which they dropped out as usual, which is normal.
