for series I totally like skipping intro and credits… especially when you want to binge a show.
but when I watch a movie I usually invite people, prepare popcorn and snacks and we watch it together… if the end credits then roll after a few seconds and get minimized… this is annoying… and the button now makes it extra annoying. (just like netflix annoying. there is a reason I use plex after all)
We watch the movie and after that it ends! the end credits are part of the viewing. I wabt them full screen! I want them all!.
can you maybe NOT copy everything Netflix does, please?

Can I just let the credits roll, the music play out so we can talk about the movie we just watched and finish up snacks and drinks… is that too much to ask? Does everything have to be enhanced ? Can I ask for a setting “per player” maybe? When I watch in my living room I want to disable any button or feature besides watching the movie (till I touch the remote)
Or do I have to hook up my old laptop again and play the movie with VLC? that way always works.

also cannot switch off that the movie gets small and shows the plex interface after watching.
it’s not that I think everyone should like what I like… far from that~
but I think software should adapt to the user, not the other way round.
so… it is possible. I just have to find out why the player un-maximizes the movie after watching once the credits roll… . it actually doesn’t happen on the web player. So could be Apple TV related?
sadly I don’t have another player at hand… wish the Shield Pro would get cheaper so I could get one and get rid of that apple TV.
You might have to restart app but if you disabled it for library then it should not minimize anymore. Though afaik you should be able to maximize again by selecting the mini player
I can, but I am always afraid to mis-click because then it will apruptly end… as I said… post-movie is discussion time and chat… slowly bringing the lights back on and maybe turn down the volume.
I will have to watch a full movie now that I disabled it.

This is incorrect… if a movie has been analyzed in the past, it will continue to minimize the credits and/or put up a “Skip Credits” button even if you turn off generation of markers in the future.
There’s no was to prevent that from happening for movies that have already been analyzed. To get rid of it you must delete the library’s metadata via the Plex Dance.
@pk_plex is correct. If credit detection (and intro) has been completed for a movie/series and you disable the server side settings it will only stop new credit detection from happening. It won’t clean up previously detected credits.
If you want it actually deleted you have to either plex dance the movie/series or also disable it within the individual library advanced settings. That will remove it after analysis is complete.
I apologize I had that wrong. I just spoke to folks and they all seemed to be in agreement that the setting it to never in server settings as a whole should do the same as setting it to disabled in library to not have to edit each library individually.
