Been a plex users for a long time, with a lifetime pass.
This is the first time I’ve seen an update that truly broke the day to day functionality of the player.
Since they removed shuffle for libraries I made a collection out of my library.
Whenever my phone or iPad iPad attempts to load it just crashes.
It’s around 3000 files. Totally useless to me until this is fixed.
Would also like the ability to delete a video without having to back out. The same way you can add it to a playlist.
Picked up Jellyfin and rocking that. Maybe I’ll back later.
I’ve defended you guys for a long long long time because I respect wanting to pivot the company.
But you need to nail the local file serving functionality or just announce you are giving up on it.
Slowing chipping away at it like this is just growing animosity and putting bad words in peoples mouths about your product.
