iOS app bug - can't watch my own media if Plex offers as rental

When attempting to watch a movie that’s on my server and that Plex streaming offers as rental, there’s no option to play the movie with my iPhone Plex app. Instead of a Play button, a “How to Watch” info button is displayed. Clicking presents a message saying that I can’t rent videos on this device.
I’ve never seen this behavior before, and the same movies can be played on my other devices, such as my TV.

EDIT: And now the problem suddenly stopped! No clue why.
