iOS app crashes and restarts from beginning randomly

Player Version#: 2025.16.0 (1068)
Mobile: iPhone 14pro

Starting in the past few days when I try to play content either from my local Plex server, or from a downloaded file locally on the phone it will play for s ranfom number of seconds (from 5 to 90) then suddenly restart from the beginning. It plays fine on my Roku from the server so it’s got to be the mobile app’s fault.

Also it sometimes crashes with this text:
Http request failed: /library/metadata/12948? checkFiles=1&includeChapters=1&includeMark ers=1, status: myserver has no base uri, status:
notConnected

I’ve been getting this as well. Is there any solution?

It’s stable for me now. The only thing I remember changing was turning on Direct Play in the Video & Audio section of settings. Maybe it will help you.

It became unstable again. This time what helped was going to iOS Settings > Apps > Plex and unchecking its access to Mobile Data (leaving Lacsl Network on)

Yes so I found if I switch off wifi on my phone (going data only) it was fine, or the other way around. So I don’t think it handles losing wifi and dropping back to mobile data well. Thanks!
