so, i’ve got 3 ios devices on ios 8
(for other reasons i have to keep them on ios 8).
two iphones, one ipad.
i’ve got some content in m4a that
will play/stream/sync on one iphone,
one ipad, but not the other iphone
(+guess where i need it). all are on
the latest-for-ios-8 mobile plex.
(as a workaround for the problematic
device, i’ve been loading it into dropbox+
making it available offline. i’m so ashamed.)
can i get a ninja?
So both phones are iPhones? Are they the same model? It is odd that one iPhone will play the file and the other will not, specially since they both have the same OS version. I would try to troubleshoot your iPhone that is not working. Check and see if there are any other programs running that might prevent play. Also check to see if it will play any other formats. Could even be a corrupted system file in the IOS.
both phones are iphones,

the problematic iphone does
play/stream/sync mp3’s,
just none of the m4a’s i’ve tried.
i’ve rebooted the phone, so
there’s nothing running when
i’m trying this. plex works in
every other expected way
that i can tell.
I fear there is nothing that can be done.
You are using an OS that hasn’t seen any updates since almost 2 years.
The current Plex iOS apps do require a minimum iOS version of 9.3
So there won’t no iOS app update which fixes this.
hey, guys.
so, i figured it out.
for some reason, it
wasn’t the latest, even
though the app store
was telling me it was.
i deleted it. reinstalled
it. re-added the content,
+voila, it works!
