Ios devices starting to fail, when playing specific files?

Server Version#:1.18.4.2171, 1.18.5.2309
Player Version#:Apple 4k TV, ipad air 2, iphone 11 pro (13.3) (tested on 2 iphone 11’s)

Hi, not sure if its already a known issue - recently when adding a tv show (a new season 2 episodes out) - it wouldn’t play on my apple tv (4k) - didnt think much of it, however it seems to be apple specific, since it plays fine with via the web player:

Tested on:
Apple tv 4k - didnt work
Applie ipad air 2 - didnt work
2x iPhone 11 Pro (13.3) didn’t work
Web player - works fine
andriod unit, works fine.
both versions old an new showed the issue (1.18.4.2171, 1.18.5.2309)
tested on 3 plex hosts, local(docker), remote(docker) and a friends plex(normal centos).

console shows
“PubSub: Received notifyConnectivity event with incorrect async identifier (30fa1bfa-0393-429d-b2c0-cb7ebc8b8eba, expected 572970f9-6cdd-466c-ac7e-84be4501cf09)”

on the iphone itself (translated from showed language to) the error recived is something went wrong with playing your media, please try again

from the plex media info:

is it something known, or what logs are needed, and anything that needs to be anonyomized in it before upload?

I need the DEBUG (not VERBOSE) server logs please

  1. Start Playback
  2. Let play 30 seconds
  3. Stop
  4. Wait 30 seconds for logs to quiesce
  5. Settings - Server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs
  6. Attach the ZIP it gives you here.

Hi, sorry for the late reply, the mail went into spam :confused:Plex Media Server Logs_2020-02-03_09-03-51.zip (2.6 MB)

please see attatched file (service was restarted so hopefully it easier to view)
in this instance an iphone 11 pro (13.3) attempted to play the file.

I’m sorry, there’s nothing I can do here. This is a problem with the iOS player.
The logs clearly show it disconnected.

Are you using the experimental player ?

No The normal iOS app from AppStore, newest version. This is from The Remote server. Can try dump with The Apple tv if needed. A collegues plex installation had same issue with That media (Works fine in web/Android aswell)

Yes, please email the iOS logs to yourself and the drag/drop the zip file into a forum post.

sorry for not replying back, it seems to work now - out of the blue, when i checked back
