I would love to see plex implement the same fast forward/rewind shortcuts in their iOS apps that amazon first introduced and now Netflix and Hulu have both implanted in their iOS apps as well.
You can keep the controls where they are but please add a shortcut so that if you double tap to the left of the screen it rewinds x seconds and if you double tap to the right of the screen it fast forwards x seconds, rather than just zooming in and out like the default iOS function is.
Not only does this work really well but you get used to those functions being there (with all the other apps now having it) so to me the user experience feels a little broken when it doesn’t have that ability now!
I don’t understand why this is not a feature. Its used in Netflix and Youtube and is very useful, a lot more than double tap to zoom… (which can be replaced with pinch gesture)

That would be a good feature
agree, worthwhile interface enhancement
According to FeroMind on reddit:
This feature exists already on the android plex client… weird that it wouldn’t be on iOS as well.
I hope that the devs see this and the many other similar requests on this forum as enough interest to enable this. Custom time amount would also be great to add. YouTube has this feature in mobile settings.
It probably has to do something with the video player APIs in iOS, but I still would like this very much.
