IOS - Ipad : Unable to login to Plex after password reset in app or website

Server Version 1.42.2.10122 #:
Player Version : IOS 18.6.2 / Ipad mini 5th gen / Plex for IOS v. 2025.24.0#:

After updating the password for my account due to the data-breach of Plex, (including logging all devices out , reclaiming my server again and logged on the web interface with the new password) I’m unable to login on Plex on my ipad after it opens plex.tv to logon.

Only message after the login screen from plex.tv is shown and credentials are entered is “the username and password is incorrect. Repeated attempts may temporarily disable sign in. “

If I open in safari plex.tv on the ipad and enter the credentials I’m getting the same error however on my other computers (windows / linux) - with firefox / edge I can login without any issue. So it seems a Safari issue?

Troubleshooting so far:

  • cleared web cache on ipad
  • removed password app from ipad.

As the ipad is used to kickstart streaming on other devices / chromecasts I now basically only have a server and (non TV connected) pc’s to watch / use Plex.

Any idea what to test / do next ?
