The iOS Plex app sometimes seems to have a bug with which when i skip to the next song, the skipped song keeps on playing in the background of the current song. This is annoying as …
I use “radio-library” most often… I’m not able to reproduce it reliably. Maybe the bug only occurs after having played a few songs or something like that. Or that i disconnected it from the charger or had opened my camera. Dunno.
I suspect the bug is related to the sound-effect which the Plex-app uses when skipping to the next song. It’s a very subtle sound-effect which sounds like a single echo. I suspect the effect doesn´t reliably stop the playing of the song and thus keeps playing at lower volume. And this keeps on playing even when the next is playing.
From a technical perspective the bug might be caused by a race-condition when requesting the next song.
I don´t have a Plex Pass.
This unanswered post describes the same issue: Plex mobile keeps playin previous songs on top of the new ones when shuffling
