I’m a new Plex user, and I’m having trouble getting started. I’m running the Plex Media Server (version 1.12.2.4929) on a Synology DS918+, and I have the Plex app installed on my iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Each of these devices connects to the PMS with no difficulty. I can navigate the libraries, and when I select titles, I see all the details. However, when I press the “Play” button, the player pops up, the orange circle spins, and I get the error message, “Couldn’t retrieve the play queue for this item. Please try again.” This behavior is the same on all three devices. I searched the Plex support page, but couldn’t find any solutions. Can anyone help me?

Just posted about the error message with podcast… sounds like something went out half-baked…
I started getting this error this morning as well. cannot play podcasts on iphone, newest app version, and newest PMS version. Also cannot play podcasts in web UI on PC.
Seems to be a general issue…

how can I fix the issue that my ios plex client got this error " Couldn’t retrieve the play queue for this item. Please try again"? As I see it is long going issue, and it is time to answer something! Why you ignoring issues in the forum and also have no normal technical support ticket form?
