IP Block or something else?

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place. I would have preferred to contact support privately.

For the last two days I’ve been pulling my hair out trying to figure what on earth is going on, I have a Plex server on a computer at home and one on a seedbox, I have been unable to do anything with either of these servers as I get “Plex is not reachable.” even when I try to access the server through localhost/127.0.0.1. I cant even get a pin to link from my Apple TV as it comes back with an error.

I have reformatted my pc/router in case it was a DNS error to no avail, if I log into the seedbox server from my work it works as usual, come home and no luck. When I try to log into plex.tv I get an error logging in, I can’t even make a new account as I get “There was a problem signing in to Plex.”. The only way I can access my seedbox server and even login to plex.tv at home to write this is to use a vpn, at which point the only thing I can think of is my I.P has been banned from accessing plex.

Is there a way to find out without publicly listing my I.P if it has been banned or something similar?

You’re having basic network issues with your ISP.
Depending on what country you live in, plex.tv might be blocked because some countries do actively block Plex’s IP addresses.

If you wish to link this thread and your WAN IP info to me, I will help you research

I’m able to access plex.tv but can’t log into plex, is this something an ISP can actually do? I get banning plex.tv so I couldn’t access it at all, but to prevent me from logging in or creating a new account? seems odd. I use TPG in Australia, if anyone else here uses them it would be nice to know if your having issues as well.

I was able to get my AppleTV to create a pin code by hotspotting the ATV to my phone then switching back to lan, so I can at least watch stuff for now.

Australia? You’re definitely not banned. Some of the Ninjas live in Aus

Let’s start figuring out where it’s dropping.

traceroute app.plex.tv

Let’s see how far you get
