Users cannot connect to Plex

Debug logs attached

Hi there.

I have a couple of friends added onto my Plex, but whenever they try to access it on their home broadband, it’s flat out not working. I have checked with them to see if perhaps the server IP is blocked, it is not.
I have checked if the server host has the home broadband ISP blocked, they don’t… and I am stuck trying to figure out what is going on.

The plex.direct link is [deleted] Mod Edit: Do not post the direct link to your server.

I have asked people to try this link on 4G and it works, but on the home broadband it is not.
Weirdly I am on the same ISP and it’s working fine (May be due to the ISP having different ranges)

For clarity, I am using a Seedbox with Seedhost in the Netherlands, so if there is something there, then I can relay that to those guys

I am unsure what to troubleshoot or how to resolve this. Some people suspected it may be a SSL Cert or something going weird, but I don’t use a custom cert or anything like that. And IPv6 is turned off within Plex.

I have cleared cache and restarted PMS.
I seen some thread about turning off remote access for an hour and turning it back on. No good there.

It was working fine up until about 10th July when I initially got messages about it.

Any help would be appreciated :slight_smile:

@Crakila

the log you provided are the Web player logs.
These don’t help us.

Please do the following:

  1. Confirm DEBUG logging is enabled (SAVE if changed)
  2. Restart PMS
  3. Wait 2-3 minutes
  4. Now recreate
  5. Go to Settings - Server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs
    Attach the ZIP file it gives you.

@Crakila

Thanks, I got the logs.

Plex.tv atttempts to connect to you on your reported WAN IP and port.

This confirms Plex.tv can see your host:

Sep 28, 2023 14:36:27.766 [140281694485304] DEBUG - [EventSourceClient/pubsub/178.79.145.139:443] PubSub: Got notified of reachability for async identifier 3eb837e4-7a02-4c43-b500-ad6f1520ada4: 1

(1 = Yes. 0 = No)

I just tried to connect to your Server:Port – NO connection.

Is geoblocking active ?

Geoblocking isn’t active as they can see a basic webpage on the same server.

The only thing that I can think of is the port.
Plex is running on 32045 which is set by the hosting company but it has worked without issue in the past.
