Ipad app doesn't keep screen on when used with macbook

I used the app store to install the ipad version of the app on my Macbook M1. However, it doesn’t stop the screensaver from kicking in. After 15 minutes the screen goes blank and I have to touch the keyboard (or increase the timeout)
