Plex on iPad isn’t working after unlocking. Web interface works fine on the same device and under the same circumstances. How do I go about fixing/troubleshooting or getting a refund?

It doesn’t play anything.
I can see contents of my server but it won’t play files or live TV. It’s set to transcode on server but that seems to work fine on web interface and roku and android TV clients.
With what version of the Plex app and what version of iOS/iPadOS are you experiencing this? [edit: +what iPad model?]
Any error messages or just an endless spinner?
Is this about specific videos or a general issue?
Does the issue persist if you force-quit the app and restart it?

I tried switching to old video player from advanced options and it didn’t help.

I mean I can tell you it’s mostly mpeg2 video with ac3 audio (“cable” TV streams). But why would this matter if it streams fine to web interface? It’s just being transcoded in the background on the server and sent to the client. There’s no issue with the transcoding.
Could be some strange combination of codecs the app believes it can directly play but fails to do so.
Maybe you can pick the client logs after this happens the next time and share them here.
Well now I have another issue. My server disappeared.
OK this is a larger issue. It affects android (phone) clients as well.
