Server Version#: 1.32.5.7349
Player Version#: 8.22, Plex on iPhone 14, iOS 16.5.1
I got issue connecting the iphone app with local server.
Server appears offline.
When I enable " Remote Access" and “Relay” I am able to connect, but it is using the relay connection.
Without using the relay I am able to open http://192.168.0.10/web from safari and I can play any media.
Server is running on Truenas, with Kubernetes.
“Custom server access URLs” is pointing to the correct address
Iphone and the server are in the same network.
I have tried manually to set the server ip into iphone app
“Settings > Advanced > Server Connections”, but nothing changed.
Iphone app has access to “Local Network”
Can you verify the phone and server are on the same subnet and no other restrictions are in place?
If you can connect through a Plex relay server, that means there’s no local connection (hence my question about the subnets) but also that there’s something fishy with your remote access setup.
I guess it was connected with iPhone access to local network.
After I posted the initial post I havent open the app. Yesterday when I opened it I got the Plex popup: “Plex needs local network access”., I confirmed.
I didnt get the iOS question to allow access, my guess is because already before I have given access to the LAN.
And it worked. I reinstalled the app to confirm, worked again OK, now asking iOS for access too.
So I guess it might be a bug fix from Plex app side and it got auto updated after my initial post.
