Is DNLA working with plex?

I wanted to stream my music using DNLA : better than chromecast because it can be streamed directly to my high quality music player

but even with DNLA option activated in plex server, when I want to cast to DNLA, plex don’t see my YAMAHA device (that is correctly seen by DS AUDIO for instance)

Isn’t DLNA about your media “being seen” by a DLNA client – not about casting to DLNA clients? I think you’re mixing up two concepts.

Thanks. I want to sent via dnla some music to my yamaha player.
Like I do with ds audio. It isn’t possible with plex ?
What is the purpose of the dnla option then?

With the DLNA feature enabled, regular DLNA clients can discover your Plex server and access the predefined “folder structure”. You can e.g. test this using VLC, drilling into your media and pick a movie or song to play. Playback etc. are all up to the DLNA client.
