Hello, it seems genre radio has been missing for quite a while now. I was waiting patiently for an update to bring it back but nothing. Since this is the main feature I use plexamp for I am concerned having only got plexpass for plexamp.
I actually made a post a while back asking how to make sure genre radio stays in the list. Got my question answered (Disappearing stations), and happily spent the next few weeks tagging albums to make sure genre radio was at the top of the list. Then a while later genre radio just vanished… to say I’m irritated after all the tagging would be an understatement.
I think this is due to an issue with the Genre sources in the library settings. If you set it to Plex Music you’ll get style radios (which are like more detailed genres). Setting it to Embedded Tags will make genre radios show up in a future version of the server (there’s a pending bug fix).

Also, because Plex has yet to make their own Plex Mix feature yet with AllMusic and MusicBrainz sources yet, I have doubts about how Plex handles Music. It is an improvement in some areas, but in terms of music discovery, the previous Plex Premium with Gracenote was unmatched. Just food for thought.
We will aim to dispel doubts about music, have some fun things in the pipeline.

Given where Plex began and where it is now, that’s one doubt I do not have, as a lifetime Plex Pass member, I’m eager to see what’s in the pipeline- full confidence!
