Whenever I look at Plex it is always a horrible brown colour with yellow. Is it possible to change this to something that looks nice on both the client and server? The current colour scheme is so ugly.
Everywhere. The background of everything is brown.
Mine is a nice black and grey. Can you take a screen shot of the main page of your Plex instance? Does it look like what I posted?

In the Web/Desktop app when looking at a details page the color will change based on the colors of the poster. But no there are no options to change this in the app.
When on details pages you can choose to view images instead but they are dimmed

Why not. Surely someone at Plex knows this colour scheme is ugly?
I’m not getting into a debate over ugly vs pretty. If you want some sort of built in theming make a feature suggestion.

I was debating whether, or not, to buy a lifetime license. You’ve helped me decide. If that is a Plex ressponse I don’t want to support your product. In my view it is stunningly ugly to choose to make your product the colour of ■■■■!
If you want a plethora of customization options, give Jellyfin a try. Plex isn’t terrible for it’s color schemes – I’ve never seen the brown everywhere that you refer to – but it sounds like you may want much more fine grained controls than Plex offers. To each their own.
