Is it possible to jump forward to cursor position using Plex on LG TV?

Have a LG 65UM7300AUE TV and loaded the Plex app from the LG store about a week ago. Have an Intel i7 PC running Windows 10 and the latest Plex program downloaded about a week ago. Playing avi files that are on a mechanical HDD in a USB3 docking station attached to the PC.

The avi video plays perfectly on the TV with proper sound sync and srt subtitles sync. Can fast forward and rewind using the arrow keys on the LG remote.

Only thing left is that I can’t jump forward in the video using the LG’s magic cursor on the Plex progress bar on the TV. Is this normal or is there a setting that will allow jumping forward to the cursor position when the ENTER (scroll wheel) button is pressed?

Ok, it’s a bit tricky. Press Ok key OCD appears Up key Timeline appears, then use your pointer on the timeline with Ok Key to confirm movement.

From what I understand, LG app approval, The 5 way pointer and Magic Remote pointer both must work for approval. This maybe of some help for reference

Hi SE56,
What does OCD stand for? Is that on the PC’s Plex Media Server or on the TV set?

When I press the OK key (the thumb wheel on the LG magic remote) it displays the timeline. When I press the up or down arrow keys, the same timeline displays. Jumping to the cursor position won’t work.

Thanks.

Your correct that no longer works, what a total b.mmer

OSD, “On-screen Display” TV. Sorry Typo there

Merry Xmas

Well thanks for your efforts SE56. Hope the Plex software people that developed Plex for the LG UHD TV sets can get the jump to cursor position working.

Keep up your good work,
