Say that I am recording a one hour long TV show. 15 minutes into the program, I decide that I would like to start watching the show. Is it possible to begin watching the show that is still in the process of recording or do I need to wait for the recording to complete before plex makes it available for viewing?
Okay, I figured this out. It’s accessible from a different place than I would have expected. Recorded programs show up under recorded TV shows only after they have completed recording. However, you can go into the guide and select a program that is currently recording and it will offer to play the program from the start or watch it live.
