Since plex move to HTTPs i experience a lot of problems with plexconnect, i have a terrible response time on the interface, i must say i don't see problems on the playback but when i start plexconnect o try to browse, is a really pain in the... you know.
For now, i manage to use the AppleTv with plexconnect but the procedure is
Start the AppleTv
Restart the AppleTv
Try to start plexconnect
Restart the service on the mac
Restart the AppleTV
Start Plexconnect
And may be i can see a movie if that fail i'm back to point 1
A didn't change anything on my mac or even in the plexconnect settings, i have this setting from years. Also i didn't change my ISP provider or any router.
This is the log , i compress the file to be more easy to manage and download for you.
The log is set to high so all the setting info is in the log but just in case, this is my current setting

My PMS run on OS X 10.10.3 and is the last version 0.9.12.4.1192-9a47d21
My boot drive have more than 80% of free space
My mac have 16GB of RAM
The apple TV is on Wi-fi N signal 100%
Well https is required on non-jailbroken aTV's now since apple implemented it on non jailbroken devices:

No way around that unless you are jailbroken on an aTV2.
There is already a number of issues open in regards to buffering issues requiring the aTV to be reset if this is what you are referring to:
ATV enters perpetual buffering during video
I don't have "slow" issues with PlexConnect personally.

OP, I personally have no issues like you talk about since the latest update, have you tried optimising the Plex Database to see if it helps. Additionally I dont actually see a log attached anywhere.

But may be you don't understand my problem or i'm not be clear.
I don't have a problem with the HTTPs on trailers on the AppleTv, the problem start when the new release of PLEX arrive with the HTTPS functionality.
I think the problem that i have today is because the HTTPS implementations on the PMS

The Data Base is optimise i have a schedule to do a optimisation process every night , i don't think the data base is the problem here.
I delete the log after complete the upload i don't know with happened i will try to reproduce the problem and get a new log guys
Did you try removing the Encryption of PLEX server (put the Encryption to OFF in the settings of the server) and see if your ATV start working faster again?
